Social Sciences – Communication Sciences
The Social Sciences – Communication Sciences Series publishes peer-reviewed monographs and edited volumes in communication, media and digital culture research.
The series welcomes original studies in areas such as:
- communication theory
- media studies and the political economy of media
- digital communication, platform studies and social media
- consumer culture, advertising and public relations
- visual and popular culture
- interdisciplinary communication research with a strong theoretical and methodological framework
The series gives priority to manuscripts that are theoretically explicit, methodologically transparent, and clearly situated within the relevant scholarly literature. It does not normally publish general textbooks, non-peer-reviewed conference proceedings, or edited volumes whose chapters do not form a coherent scholarly whole.
Its aim is to provide a rigorous venue for research that analyses communication processes in their social, economic and cultural contexts and engages with current debates in the field.
