Özet

Tüketiciler olarak satın alma, tüketme ve ürünleri elden çıkarma aşamalarında ekolojik, ekonomik ve sosyal çevreye dolaylı veya doğrudan etkilerimiz bulunmaktadır. Aşırı ve bilinçsiz tüketimin sebep olduğu sorunlar, "etik tüketim" akımının doğmasına yol açmıştır. Bu kitap, tüketimin etik yönüne ve etik satın alma davranışına odaklanmaktadır. Çalışma, giyim ve aksesuar ürünleri özelinde etik sorunları (çalışan hakları ve sağlığı, adil ticaret, ekolojik çevre, hayvan refahı) ve tüketicilerin satın alma sürecindeki sorumluluklarını incelemektedir. Yazarın doktora tez çalışmasına dayanan bu eser; etik kavramını, etik karar süreci modellerini ve etik satın alma davranışının ardındaki tüketici kaygılarını bütünsel bir yaklaşımla ele almaktadır.

Selin Köksal Araç, Çukurova Üniversitesi

Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Selin Köksal Araç, İşletme ve Pazarlama alanlarında çalışmalar yürütmektedir. Araştırmaları ağırlıklı olarak tüketici davranışları, pazarlama etiği, sürdürülebilirlik ve etik tüketim konularına odaklanmaktadır. Prof. Dr. Serap Çabuk ile birlikte kaleme aldıkları "How Do Ethically Minded Consumers Explain Intention-Behavior Gap? Barriers to Ethical Purchasing in Turkey" (Etik Odaklı Tüketiciler Niyet-Davranış Boşluğunu Nasıl Açıklar? Türkiye'de Etik Satın Almanın Önündeki Engeller) başlıklı makaleleri, Journal of Economic Issues dergisi tarafından 2023 Editör Ödülü'ne (2023 Editor's Prize) layık görülmüştür. Ayrıca hanehalkı tüketim davranışları ve tüketici etiği üzerine çeşitli hakemli dergilerde yayınlanmış akademik çalışmaları bulunmaktadır. Çukurova Üniversitesinde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.
