Editorial Team

Artsürem Publishing is governed through a functionally differentiated three-tier editorial structure. This structure is designed to ensure operational efficiency, subject-specific academic oversight, and external strategic guidance. It also maintains a clear division of responsibility between daily editorial management, scholarly evaluation, and advisory support.

1. Managing Editors (Executive Team)

The Managing Editors oversee the day-to-day operations of the press. Their responsibilities include author correspondence, technical desk review, scope and format checks, plagiarism screening, anonymization for review where required, and coordination of manuscripts throughout the editorial timetable. In submissions that require external peer review, the Executive Team administers the process but does not rely on unilateral decision-making; publication decisions are made on the basis of reviewer reports and editorial assessment.

Board members assess submissions that pass initial editorial screening, recommend independent external reviewers, evaluate reviewer reports, advise on revisions, and formulate publication recommendations on the basis of scholarly quality, originality, and relevance to the appropriate collection. Final publication decisions are made by the press after consideration of external review and editorial assessment.

Appointments and Terms

Members of the editorial bodies are selected on the basis of scholarly expertise, publication record, and editorial competence. The composition of the boards may be updated periodically in order to maintain disciplinary breadth, institutional diversity, and international visibility.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors and reviewers do not handle manuscripts where a conflict of interest may reasonably arise. Where such a conflict is identified, the submission is reassigned to another qualified editor or reviewer.

Decision Process

Publication decisions are made after editorial assessment and, where applicable, external peer review. Decisions are based on scholarly quality, originality, relevance to the appropriate collection, and satisfactory completion of requested revisions.
